The property is located on one of the islands of the Hawaiian archipelago — Oahu, in the city of Kaneohe. The site features a 30-meter elevation change and includes several existing structures. The main single-story residence and the guest house were originally built according to a 1980 design. Our task was to renovate both houses, expand their building footprint, add a second floor, and update the architectural style. At the same time, it was essential to preserve the identity of the local development, including roof slopes and facade finishes. Special attention was given to the view corridors within the houses. The existing panoramic views were to become an integral part of the interior, transforming the landscape into a key design element.
