The project for public transport stop shelters in Tallinn called "Gates" was created based on a city competition assignment with the aim of improving infrastructure, focusing on functionality, aesthetics, and environmental sustainability. Special attention was given to accessibility for everyone, including maintenance workers. The straight lines and minimal details provide visual clarity and harmoniously integrate into the diverse urban environment. The modular design and hidden fastening system allow for easy replacement of elements and the creation of various usage scenarios. Made from aluminum, they ensure durability and weather resistance. Aluminum reduces the structure's weight and transportation costs, while also providing high corrosion resistance and durability. It is 100% recyclable, which lessens the burden on natural resources. The roof allows for the installation of green modules or solar panels if needed. These shelters are ready to become part of the smart city infrastructure, improving the quality of life.
